Besides the ghost crabs which can be observed less frequently or the fiddler crabs, the most frequently sighted crabs on all Galapagos islands are the impressive red rock crabs.

With bright orange-red or wonderful turquoise graining, the rock crabs are true beauties. These very rapid, mobile animals share the best cliff and rock positions, close to the sea, with marine lizards and sea lions.
