Galapagos | Pelicans & Frigate Birds

Pelicans & Frigate Birds

The Galapagos archipelago boasts an infinite number of bird species which are mostly indigenous. When it comes to the larger species, visitors will remember in particular the brown pelicans and the frigate birds, in both cases because of their flying skills when fishing.

In the case of the great frigate birds the males impress visitors during the courting season with their large red neck pouches.
